SUMMARY:Getting Started with Resources for Your First Assignment
DESCRIPTION:This practical online workshop will provide an introduction to
research in preparation for your first assignments at Coventry University.
\n\n\n\nIt will cover the types of sources to use and basic searching on
Locate (the library catalogue) to get you started with finding resources
for your assignments. It will then introduce how to find specialist subject
databases provided by the library service. Finally\, the workshop will
touch upon the importance of evaluating your resources. \n\nThis session is
aimed at new Coventry University students on any course and the skills
discussed will be suitable for all subject areas.\n\n\n\nIf you have very
subject specific research queries you may be directed to speak to your
Librarian following the session. \n\nOnce you have registered\, you will be
sent a link and instructions of how to join this online workshop\, so you
must check your student email address for this link.\n\nPlease note: You
will be sent the workshop Powerpoint slides AFTER you have attended the
session. If you have a learning need and would benefit from receiving the
slides prior to the session\, please contact the presenter Agnieszka
 Wolanska (email: ad5649@coventry.ac.uk)\n\n
