Comparing Groups Online
This session is bookable only by postgraduate researchers (PGRs) undertaking a PhD or research staff from the Coventry University Group. Students on taught programmes of study (undergraduate or postgraduate) can obtain one to one help from sigma (please see http://sigma.coventry.ac.uk)
This session introduces the use of SPSS or R to undertake statistical tests to compare two groups, with a focus on the two-sample (independent samples) t-test for scale data and the Mann-Whitney test for ordinal data. Other tests will be touched upon briefly, including those for comparing more than two groups and tests for data with repeated measures (e.g. pre and post intervention), and suitable learning resources sign-posted.
All sessions will be held online using Microsoft Teams the link will be provided in the registration email.
