Evaluating information sources Online
Many students receive the feedback that they need to find higher-quality sources to support their ideas. This is often down to not properly evaluating information sources.
This session will cover:
- An introduction to the key areas to think about when evaluating the quality of online and print information
- Demonstration of tools and checklists to support source evaluation
- Discussion of how strengths and limitations identified by source evaluation can inform better critical writing
Target audience: Students at all levels who wish to work on source evaluation
