(UG) Critical Thinking 1: Descriptive, analytical and evaluative writing Online
Both at university and in many professional contexts, effective writing is expected to demonstrate both a good range of reading and an ability to think critically. This workshop explains the differences between description, analysis and advanced critical evaluation of academic sources, and introduces you to strategies of using language to integrate different levels of critical thinking into your writing.
Note: this workshop lasts up to two hours and is designed to be attended before Critical Thinking 2: Developing argumentation in academic writing. Presentation slides will be sent the next working day *only* to confirmed attendees.

Please attend the workshop on Microsoft Teams using your Coventry University account. Using any other account will mean you cannot access any handouts or workshop recordings. It may also mean you are registered as a non-attendee.
Joining the workshop late is disruptive to both the presenter and other attendees. You may be refused entry if you are late and are put into a lobby. Please join on time and stay for the whole workshop. You are also encouraged to participate in the tasks and other interactions throughout the workshop.
