Transitioning from Flying Start Online
Following a review of the Flying Start scheme it has been decided that the University will transition swiftly to a model that prioritises a curated approach to essential course reading that is sustainable whilst retaining academic rigour. This workshop is vital for anyone who orders Flying Start texts for their course and helpful if you regularly utilise books on the Bibliu platform in your teaching and reading lists.
This online workshop will cover how to find alternative texts in the library's current ebook collection, to create packages using short-form content such as scholarly articles, from existing library journal and serial subscriptions; to collate chapters or extracts from texts from University Library collections where digitisation is permissible under the CLA license and to find and use Open Educational Resources (OERs).
