Whilst you've been researching for the last few years for your assignments, the independent research involved in a dissertation assignment requires your search muscles to be in tip-top form.

This session will cover:

  • Selecting appropriate terms and phrasing for your research query
  • Using post-search facets to narrow results by discipline, geography, participant demographics and more
  • Reviewing and saving your results to support structured research practice

Target audience: All students (particularly relevant for students currently engaged in research)

Joining sessions late is disruptive to both the presenter and other attendees.  You may be put into a lobby if you are late and not admitted to the session until a pause in delivery.  Please join on time and stay for the whole workshop.  You are also encouraged to participate in the tasks and other interactions throughout the sessions.
