This a statistics workshop bookable please by only postgraduate research students and staff at Coventry University. Students on taught programmes of study can obtain one to one help from sigma (please see http://sigma.coventry.ac.uk)

When we have more than two experimental or study groups we cannot carry out comparisons between them using t-tests, and instead we need use to alternatives such as Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). In this workshop we will explain the underlying concepts, and practise the use of this approach. There will be an opportunity to practise some of these analyses using SPSS.

(Note this workshop assumes experience of SPSS or attendance at Workshop 4 and that you can access SPSS remotely)

Should you wish to use SPSS on your own laptop or PC, then you must follow the instructions in the attachment provided at the bottom of this page BEFORE the day of the workshop. SPSS can be accessed via AppsAnywhere on any University managed PC.

It is important you check you have access to SPSS well BEFORE the day of the workshop so that sigma can help you troubleshoot any problems you may be having. There will NOT be any opportunities to solve any issues with access to SPSS on the day of the workshop. Please direct any questions about this to sigma_staff@coventry.ac.uk
