Workshop 5: Introduction to Statistical Inference Online
Statistical inference is the process of using a sample to make statements or inferences about a population. There are many different methods of analysis which depend upon the type of variables and the design of the study. In this session we will discuss the principles behind hypothesis (significance) testing, with a focus on t-tests as well as confidence intervals. There will be an opportunity to practice how to carry out the analyses using SPSS.
