(PG) Writing Style and Language Online

Using the appropriate style is the backbone of academic writing. This workshop outlines some strategies for developing the key features of your writing style, including word choice, concision and coherence. The presentation is supported by a range of hands-on activities.

Delivery Level: This workshop is aimed at postgraduate students.  Undergraduate students please book the workshop titled: (UG) Academic Writing Style: pitfalls and how to avoid them.

Please attend the workshop on Microsoft Teams using your Coventry University account.  Using any other account will mean you cannot access any handouts or workshop recordings.  It may also mean you are registered as a non-attendee.

Joining the workshop late is disruptive to both the presenter and other attendees.  You may be refused entry if you are late and are put into a lobby.  Please join on time and stay for the whole workshop.  You are also encouraged to participate in the tasks and other interactions throughout the workshop.

Should you not be able to attend, please cancel your place on the workshop using the cancellation link sent in the confirmation and reminder emails.  Although this is an online workshop, places are still limited.
